Resolutions Passed in the Sixth World Hindi Conference

  • Mahatma Gandhi Anterrashtriya Vishwavidyalya should play an active role in the study, teaching, research, propagation and promotion of Hindi in the world.
  • The Vishwavidyalya should also make arrangements for teaching of Hindi in foreign countries, formulating the syllabus, preparing text books and training of teachers as also to arrange for distant teaching.
  • The government of Mauritius should take action to set up the World Hindi Secretariat soon in consultation with other governments that support Hindi.
  • Hindi should be recognized as one of the languages of the UN.
  • The Govt. of India should set up a central agency for the development of Hindi in the field of Information and technology, standardization, scientific and technical writings in Hindi and development of latest techniques in commutation in Hindi.
  • Necessary steps should be taken to popularise Hindi amongst the younger generation.
  • The Govt. of India should instruct its missions abroad to see that necessary facilities for teaching Hindi is available in the educational institutions for the convenience for the people of Indian origin.
